The new Tiger Woods golf course, Bluejack National, in Montgomery, Texas is really making progress!! They are anticipating the golf course opening in October and have already closed on homesites. It will be hard to compare the lifestyle at BlueJack to anything around here. They have an area under development called “The Fort” that has zip lines, fishing, bowling, whiffleball field and 60 yard football field. They also have a 9 hole short course carved out of the tall pines near the practice facility for golfers of all skill levels. We were fortunate to have seen this project in the early stages and the process is amazing! Here are a couple of pictures of the first hole – the first was taken in May of 2014 before any construction had started and the second was taken last Thursday, Feb 26, 2015

You can see the pond was moved and all of the underbrush was removed. The bunkers are in place and the entire hole has been sodded. They will start sprigging the tees and greens in the spring. As of today, the development of the back 9 is still underway, most holes are shaped and they are doing the irrigation and drainage work. It is truly an amazing process and will be a work of art when completed. For a look at the master plan for the community, click here:
